How can I help?

Here are the most common questions. If yours isn't here, write to me and I'll get back to you.

The sound stops when the screen turns off

Open Settings → Play with the screen off and allow the Playback notification. It shows the controls on the lock screen and keeps Dormi playing.

Some phones close apps at night to save battery. The same section has a No battery saving option: it's optional and you turn it on in the system settings.

How do I add my own sounds?

Go to Mine → Add an audio file and pick an MP3, M4A, AAC, WAV or FLAC file up to 150 MB. It can be a song, a recording or a meditation; you can keep up to 20.

One plays at a time, on top of the other sounds, and you can choose whether it repeats forever. Dormi keeps a copy: the original file stays where it was.

How do I back up and restore?

In Settings → Export settings, Dormi creates a JSON file with your favorites, mixes, settings and the list of your audio files. Save it wherever you like.

To restore it, use Settings → Import settings and pick that file. The backup doesn't include the audio files themselves: if you import it on another phone, they'll show as “File not found”. Remove them from the list and add them again.

How many sounds can I mix?

Up to 6 at once, each with its own volume. You can save up to 10 mixes with your favorite combinations.

How does the sleep timer work?

Tap Timer in the playback panel and choose between 15 minutes and 2 hours. Dormi stops when the time is up and fades out over the last few seconds. In Settings you can set the default timer and the fade-out when stopping.

Do I need an account or an internet connection?

No. Dormi works without an account and offline. Your data stays on your phone.

How do I change the language?

Go to Settings → Language to switch between Spanish and English at any time.

Didn't find your answer?
